According
to the story of the series, in 2006 the exclusion zone has undergone an
unexpected abnormal influences, resulting in physical, chemical and

game "STALKER: Call of Pripyat" takes place after the events of the
game "STALKER" and the destruction of the Marksman project
"On-Consciousness."
Having
learned about the opening of roads to the center of the Zone, the
government decides to hold a large-scale military operation to engage
the Chernobyl nuclear power plant under its control. The operation receives a code name "Fairway." Under
the plan the operation, the first group of soldiers should be forwarded
for aerial reconnaissance area to subsequently draw up detailed plans
for the location of the anomalous fields. Then on the maps, the major military force.
